Hacking Championship

After a remarkably successful debut event last January, our annual event “HackerCup India” got much bigger and better this time.
The hacking championship “Capture The Flag (CTF)” aimed at encouraging and rewarding talent that could contribute towards securing the Internet community, was an immediate hit judging from pre-registrations for the event and the actual turnout.
The hacking championship orchestrated in three rounds of competition with security trainings enabled the participants to learn while competing because in our event, there’s no loosing, only winning.
The three round CTF comprising of web hacking, server hacking and scavengers hunt not only helped participants in improving their offensive skills but also in developing new attack strategies, which is essential in this era of cyber warfare.

The following trainings conducted during the day provided a deep insight to the participants in the area of cyber security:
• Rapid hands on hacking by Mr. Vikas Arora
• Software Defined Radio - Mathworks by Mr. M M Zafar
• The Hitchhikers guide to Deepweb by Mr. Aditya Mukherjee

The CTF proved to be a great attempt at engaging security community where noobs and professionals got challenged alike and learnt about unfamiliar security technologies and exploitation techniques. But that’s not where it ended, we offered the participants to be part of conference, which provided them with good networking opportunity.
